One thing to know about me is that I love a mural. I love the vibe they bring to a city as well as the message they send. They’re all so different and can be so powerful. They can be used as a political, societal, or artistic expression. They can even beautify and area that needs a little love. That’s why I’m so pleased with all the Memphis murals!
Every time I visit a new city, I HAVE to check out all their cool street arts. I mean just look at my Chicago and Nashville travel guides. All my friends know that if they’re traveling with me, there is going to be a few hours blocked off to check out the murals in that town.
There are dozens of murals throughout Memphis. They’re in every neighborhood and range in all different styles. Whether you’re hanging out downtown, grabbing a coffee in Midtown or shopping in the burbs, you’re bound to run across a mural or two. Check out some of my favorite Memphis murals below!
So the last one isn’t technically a mural but it was too cool to leave out.
This is by no means an exhaustive list of Memphis murals. It’s not even an exhaustive list of the murals I have pictures with. However, these are some of my favorites! Many of these are well-known, but there are a few off the beaten path that you may enjoy.
Do you have a favorite Memphis mural? Tell me where it so I can check it out! In a few weeks, I’ll be heading to Nashville for the Blogger Xchange XPO and doing a mural tour there so you’ll get to see all their great street art in my stories and on my feed!
