If you aren’t familiar with the Ketogenic diet, it’s a low carb, high-fat eating plan that forces your body into ketosis to give you energy + burn fat. When I say low carb, I mean LOW carb. Just 5% of your daily calories come from net carbs (total carbs – fiber). In most cases, that’s about 20-25 grams daily. To put that in perspective, one cup of pasta has about 40 grams of net carbs. Cookie dough has 17g/oz.
If you’re not eating carbs, what are you eating? You eat a diet that’s 25% protein + 70% fat. For me, eating that much fat is the hardest part. It’s very difficult to find food that is just fat without having any protein or carbs. Enter fat bombs. These little balls of goodness contain high amounts of fat in order to help you meet your macro ratio – something that is hard just with your daily meals.
I’ve tried a few types of fat bombs + these chocolate chip cookie dough bites are my favorite. I genuinely look forward to these every day + it is much easier (and yummier) to add one or two of these every day as opposed to finding some use for more butter or scarfing down more bacon. Not only are they delicious, but they could not be easier to make!
Keto Cookie Dough Fat Bombs
I eat two cookie dough bites as a serving but you can have one or as many as you want!
- 8 oz cream cheese
- 8 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 1/4 cup low carb chocolate chips
- 1/3 cup Stevia
Microwave cream cheese and butter for 20 seconds to soften (do NOT melt butter)
Mix together butter, cream chesse, peanut butter, stevia, and vanilla with a hand mixer
Add in chocolate chips and continue to mix ingredients together
Place in refridgerator to chill for 30 minutes
Use a spoon or melon baller to make scoop ~24 cookie bites on to parchment paper
Freeze for at least one hour
Keep refridgerated until you're ready to eat them
I seriously eat these almost every day. They give me a little boost of fat + make me feel like I am treating myself. Two cookie dough bites break down to 242 calories, 24.6g fat, 2.8g protein, and 3.4g net carbs. Did you love these as much as I do? Tell me your favorite fat bombs in the comments!
