I’m a firm believer that it doesn’t have to be National Rosé Day to enjoy the light + sweet summer wine. In fact, I encourage you to drink it whenever you want because you deserve nice things. The thing I love about rosé is that there is no one way to drink it. Sweet or dry, sangria or straight – there are plenty of ways to enjoy this delicious drink. One of my favorite ways to enjoy it is frozen.
Frozen rosé, or frosé as it is better known, is the perfect drink if you’re going to spend time outside. Whether brunching on a patio or laying out by the pool, frosé is the perfect drink to cool you off + tickle your fancy. While it isn’t quite as simple to make as blending rosé + ice, it only requires a few ingredients to make the frosé that all your friends will beg you to bring to their next pool party.
Easy + Delicious Frosé
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 4 medium strawberries
- 1 bottle rosé
Overnight, freeze rosé in ice mild or freezer safe tupperware.
Add water, sugar, and strawberries to small pot.
Bring mixture to simmer on medium heat for 5 minutes to make strawberry simple syrup.
Allow to cool.
Place simple syrup and frozen rosé in the blender + blend until fully mixed.
Pour into glass + enjoy!
Garnished or ungarnished, this drink is delicious, but if you’re looking for a little more pizzaz, opt for mint or your favorite berry. I choose strawberry since that is what’s in the drink + what I had around.
If you are lazy, forgetful, or in a hurry, you can skip freezing the rosé + blend it with 4 cups of ice. It won’t be as potent, which might be a good thing. Another time-saving hack is to place simple syrup in the fridge to cool faster. No matter which method you choose, you are in for a treat while you sip this + relax.
