I recently gave you a glimpse into my favorite skincare products + routine, but that is only half of the beauty equation. The other part is bath products. My bathroom is FULL of products. So much so that a friend staying at my place once compared it to a spa. I have so many different bath products of varying scents + purposes because I love options. How I wear my hair depends on what products I used + time of year also plays a role in how I prepare my skin.
I love my hair. It is something I am not afraid to splurge on. So when it comes to which bath products I choose to treat it with, I put in just as much research as I do in finding a stylist. Depending on how I plan to wear my hair – curly vs. straight – the products I use in the shower vary (hair products from start to finish blog post coming soon). When it comes to a curly day, I’ll typically use head & Shoulder’s shampoo paired with Lush’s Big Shampoo. It is perfect for a day when I want a lot of volume. It’s made with sea salt so it gives your hair beachy vibes without harsh chemicals. For a straight hair day, I use OXG Tea Tree Mint shampoo + conditioner. I also add in Moroccan oil or another hydrating treatment like a mask to soften + revive my hair.
We spend so much time taking care of our face, we often neglect our body – which is like 90% of our skin! Keeping the rest of your skin moisturized is just as important as your hydrating face. When it comes to bath products for my skin, I am a big fan of cream-based. I’m currently using Olay’s White Strawberry + Mint body wash. It also has a great lotion. However, I prefer something a little thicker like a sorbet or body butter. Another way I lock in moisture is when I shave. If I’m going to use a regular razor, I choose one with 4-5 blades + use body oil instead of shaving cream. If I’m in a rush, I’ll use an Intuition razor with built-in moisture bar. You also can’t skip exfoliating with a sugar or coffee scrub to get rid of any dead skin + always use a trusty loofa.
If you’re looking to mix up your bath routine, I recommend trying any of these products! It also can’t hurt to throw in a bath bomb every now + then. I think I’ll do one tonight!
