We are entering into sundress season! As the weather warms up, the legs come out. One of my favorite types of sundresses to wear is a midi wrap dress. A couple of years ago, I shared how much I loved wrap dresses. And surely you can see why. They are universally flattering + extremely versatile.
The anatomy of a wrap dress is that it has ties on two sides. One tucks under and goes through the other side to meet the second tie at your waist. They highlight your thinnest section + come in so many prints + patterns that make them great to wear in any season. For spring, I love a midi wrap dress with a fun print. I’ll share some of my favorites below, but first, I want to share some of the different ways you can wear one!
How to Style a Midi Wrap Dress
For spring, fall, or just a cold office or theater, you can jazz up a wrap dress with a few accessories. Throw on a cardigan warmth + a belt to help keep your waist defined. I also like to add a headband to add some extra dimension. Depending on the print of your midi wrap dress, any color could work. Sandals or boots are the perfect shoes for this look.
Don’t limit yourself to thinking about your wrap dress as just a dress. Think of it more like a bodysuit when you put a skirt on over it. The top will be well fitted to your body which pairs nicely with a flowy skirt. Alternatively, you can do the reverse + add a cropped sweater or t-shirt over the top of your midi wrap dress. Use a plain skirt or top to balance out a bold print or the reverse.
Another one of my favorite ways to style a wrap dress is to wear it as an over piece. This works for any season. I paired it with leather leggings + jeans in the fall + with shorts in the winter. A tank top underneath is a great way to make a midi wrap dress a bit more casual.
