Do you know what I love the most about fall? The fall fashion trends. I mean sweater weather is for sure the best part. As much as I love a sundress, nothing beats the coziness of fall. 2020 has brought a lot of things with it and one of those things is its own fashion trends. Whether you’re looking to up your Zoom call game or look your best for some socially distanced activities, this is what you should try to wear as the temps cool down.
Fall Fashion Trends
Animal Print – I have been living in animal print all 2020, but I am definitely ready for fall. Whether you are rocking leopard, crock, or snake, there are several essential items you should add to your fall wardrobe that tap into your wild side.
- Boots – I am loving these affordable leopard + snake pairs
- Kimono
- Hair accessories
- Leggings
- Skirt
- Masks
Incorporating animal print is easier than you think. Try one of these ways!
Headband – The knotted headband is all the rage right now. I have at least six + am looking to get more. This is a great way to ease into another fall trend like leopard or velvet. The queen of this look right now is Lele Sadoughi, so check out her headbands + especially her headband + masks combos which are a fall fashion trend all on their own.
Fall Florals – I personally love a floral design + think it is totally appropriate even when the weather cools down. One way to make this work is to choose a longer dress, one with sleeves, or choose a darker print like maroon or navy. Ease into this trend with floral face masks.
School Colors – Tailgates look different this year, but that doesn’t mean you can’t still cheer on your team from afar. Thrown on that college t-shirt, to opt for something a little chicer + a little more fall like a poncho. The one I’m wearing comes in several colors but is unfortunately not sold by Draper James anymore, but you can find it on Poshmark.
Bold Nail Colors – I have been obsessed with ORLY nail polish lately + all its amazing fall colors. From olive to garnet to taupe, you are sure to love one of these colors. Maybe not so much a fall “fashion” trend, but it is a great way to accentuate all your fall outfits.
Bonus trend: “I Voted” sticker! Aside from a smile, the best accessory this season is that ever so important sticker telling the world you got out to vote!
