One of the most fun parts of wedding planning for me has been choosing what to add to my wedding registry. My fiancé + I have been going back + forth on what we need. We hope to move into a new place before the wedding so that we are all set up. Having both lived alone there are many things we already have, but there are still so many kitchen essentials we need.
Wedding Registry: Kitchen Essentials
What we don’t really have is *quality* kitchen stuff. I have collected some stuff over the years that I love, but by + large, we could use a bit of everything. Below is a list of kitchen essentials to add to your wedding registry.
One of the things I am most excited to get is official dinnerware. I am going with a Costa Nova set + choosing enough for eight-place settings. Most people get between six + twelve depending on how many people they hope to entertain. When ordering a place setting, you need:
- dinner plates
- salad plates
- pasta plate
- soup/cereal bowls
- bread + butter plate
- teacup + saucer or coffer cup + saucer
Serveware is very important for hosting + even eating at home. You’ll want to have enough for larger dinner parties as well as more intimate ones. You’ll want to have the following kitchen essentials on your wedding registry:
- salad bowl
- circle platters
- rectangular platter
- charcuterie board (make the perfect charcuterie with these tips!)
- serving utensils
- cake plate
You’ll want to get serveware for appetizers if that is your thing. This is an awesome set that can be used for veggies, dips, and more!
Cooking/Baking Kitchen Essentials
There are many things on my registry I am excited about, like rose gold bakeware – loaf, cake, and brownie pans + cooking sheets. I am the most excited to get a gorgeous dutch oven. I am also asking for a cast iron skillet as well as a grill pan. Don’t forget pots + pans. I have some already but if I didn’t I would kill for these Caraway pans. I mean… ?
You’ll also want to get are quality knives, cutting boards, colanders, storage containers, measuring cups + spoons, baking dishes, mixing bowls, silicon + wooden utensils, and tools like a can opener, slicer set, and other things you use often.
Appliances for your Wedding Registry
The kitchen essentials I am most excited about on my wedding registry are the appliances. I am an appliance kinda gal. High-quality appliances are an important part of a kitchen + you rarely buy them yourself. Here’s what I am asking for:
- air fryer
- instant pot/pressure cooker
- KitchenAid mixer
- food processor
- coffee maker/Keurig
I already have a popcorn machine + a hand mixer.
No wedding registry is complete without barware. You should already have glasses for wine + champagne, you should also get some for cocktails + beer. You definitely want to register for the right tools: shaker, quality wine opener, strainer, jigger, and muddler.
There are so many kitchen essentials that you could add to your wedding registry. It really depends on your taste + lifestyle. If you need some inspiration, check out mine! I hope it gives you some ideas on what you may want.
Meta description: Knowing what to put on your wedding registry can be hard, especially for kitchen essentials. Make sure to add these to your registry!
